Sisters, Sisters....
"Sisters, sisters, There were never such devoted sisters. Never had to have a chaperone, no sir. I'm here to keep my eye on her. Caring, sharing every little thing that we are wearing..."
Yep. The song from White Christmas pretty much sums up our sisterhood!
Sisters share a special bond, a bond that cannot be broken, so it is very important for our family who the "brother-in-laws" are. As we look forward to Friday, we took some time this past weekend to celebrate with Alli. Sisters and Mom time is a definite must around our family. As we made plans, they changed 16 times or so. Our original plan was to take a trip up the mountains, but rain and threats of mudslides did not sound too exciting!
We ended up in Greenville for brunch at the new Tupelo Honey Cafe. The biscuits were delicious and filled us up before our food arrived. Brunch really turned into lunch since our wait time went from the promised 30-45 minutes to 90+ minutes. We hope to try the restaurant again once they have a few glitches worked out. They ran out of silverware but managed to locate some after we had already made do with our fingers. Rach grabbed some paper towels from the bathroom to hold us over until they found some napkins. That sums up our first experience at the cafe, but we understand that it takes time to get into a routine (or get new management :)!
Our next stop was at the Pink Bee, a cute boutique downtown. We surprised Alli with a dress to add to her wardrobe. Shopping is fun, especially when you have 6 opinions to choose from! And finally, we went to Costco. It was our first trip, since Sam's Club is closer to us and holds our membership!
We are so thankful for Alli and that we get to share this time with her. As we have laughed together; cried together; learned and grown together, one thing is for sure...God has blessed us with a sweet bond. We are grateful to share life together!
We love you Alli!
