Welcome to our table

Meet the Campbell Girls

Sisters, all grown up, still gathering around the same family recipes.

We're the Campbell Girls, all grown up now. We have new last names, husbands, kids, and busy lives, and we're still gathering around the same family recipes. Between us, we share more than 70 years of marriage and miles of distance stretching from North and South Carolina to Arizona. Some traditions we all share, and some we've made our very own. Every Tradition is where we keep them: the dishes we grew up on, the stories that come with them, and the memories we're making around our own tables today.

So many of these recipes came from Grammie and from Grandma and Grandpa Kline. They have passed away now, but their kitchens live on in every page here. They fed the people they loved, welcomed everyone to the table, and made ordinary days feel like a celebration. Cooking their recipes is one of the ways we still feel close to them, and one of the ways we hope our children will come to know them. Today each of our kitchen tables is graced with something of our grandparents': their china, goblets, salt and pepper shakers, even an ice cream scoop. Little things that remind us of them every time we set the table.

"The best recipes are the ones that bring everyone back to the table."

These days our kitchens are scattered across different homes, and they're full of little helpers, busy schedules, and plenty of spilled flour. We're investing in the next generation the way we were invested in: by cooking together, telling the old stories, and passing down the recipes that hold them.

We each set our tables with the same fine china, a set Mom lovingly collected for every one of us over the years. We have a lot in common, but we each have our own personality (and our own smile). You can probably guess whose sink is still full at the end of the day, and which one of us turns off the kitchen light on a spotless kitchen.

Here you'll find holiday favorites, weeknight suppers, breads, and sweets that have marked our family's traditions. Some recipes we've kept just as they were; others we've gently updated with clearer directions so they're easy to make in your own kitchen.

Thank you for being here. Consider this your invitation in, as an insider in our lives and our kitchens. We hope these recipes find a place in your home, and maybe help you start a few traditions of your own.

With love, the Campbell Girls
