Grammie's Strawberries in the Sun
Since I can remember, Grammie has made Strawberries in the Sun. I can remember going to visit and looking on the back porch to find the most delicious, sugary treat baking in the sun. It was always torture having to wait 4-5 days to eat the jam!
In high school I spent alot of time with Grammie. I went to school about 25 minutes from home, and Grammie lived much closer to the school, so many nights I would stay with Grammie out at the farm. She would ALWAYS make sausage and egg biscuits for us- it was such a treat! And on those biscuits I would often put a delicious, whole strawberry coated in delicious syrup, made with love, and enjoyed the same!
We also enjoy eating this jam on her famous ham biscuits for our tailgates. By famous, I mean that our family all rants and raves over them, and they are always the first thing gone at the tailgate!
All of the grandkids LOVE Strawberries in the Sun, and I look forward to making this for my grandchildren one day!
