Cottage Cheese And...
Cottage cheese. Either you love it, or you don't! We happen to love it around here, and summertime produce and cottage cheese are inseparable. We do have our preferences. The curds should be small, not large! Once you have the right cottage cheese, eat some with a fresh tomato, peach, or pear. Fruit choices really are endless this time of year. If it's not summertime, canned pears, applesauce, and bananas (they don't grow locally in SC) are possible duets. A final pairing is a combination that I once thought to be highly unlikely. Thanks to a dear friend and a summer of travelling in the midwest, I learned that Nacho Cheese Doritos and cottage cheese were meant to be together! You will have to give it a try and let me know what you think.
If you love cottage cheese, get creative! If you don't love cottage cheese, my goal is not to convince you that you should; however I would love to convince you to give it a second chance!

We always put cottage cheese in our chili growing up. Cooled it off a little as well as just making it yummy!
ReplyDeleteI love cottage cheese. Always ate it growing up, especially at grandmothers' houses. For some reason I associate it with cucumbers on summer supper tables. It's great with apple butter (although I learned the hard way not to put apple butter on it ahead of time, like in a lunch to take to school). Great stuff!!!
