It's another birthday weekend in our home! Spring is birthday season for the Smetana family. We are excited to celebrate the marriage of friends this evening, so we shared cake last night with family and friends. This morning we woke him up with a muffin before he was really ready to get up, and then we gathered with family for breakfast at Dienner's in Seneca. Sometimes low-key, "meet and eat" is the easiest way for us to corral the Campbell Clan, so that's how Dan will celebrate his 32nd birthday this year!
For Dan's cake I used Hershey's Perfectly Chocolate Cake
recipe. It is our favorite chocolate cake and icing recipe. If you haven't ever made a cake from "scratch," this is a great recipe to start with.
Birthday celebrations don't have to be elaborate. Just being together with family and friends, sharing a meal, and rejoicing together in another year is a perfect way to commemorate the day!
